Sandcastle of South Haven

There really aren't enough words to describe how nice of a time we had staying at The Sandcastle and enjoying all that South Haven has to offer. Mandy and her staff at Big Blue Rentals were top notch. My family and I have rented homes around the world and this stands out as one of our best experiences. The combination of attention to detail and personal touches, customer service and professionalism, cleanliness of the property and the communication our entire stay was perfect. We honestly left excited to consider booking a trip with Mandy and Big Blue again next summer just because of the experience while this trip was for a birthday vacation we are considering booking just to have something to look forward to in summer of 2027! I have to admit I am a person who has very refined taste and expects the best of what I spend my money on and was not disappointed in anyway!

This home is a former Inn, with private bathrooms for each bedroom. It was the perfect place for my extended family to stay in South Haven. Close to beach and town and it’s own swimming pool.

House is large and accommodated my family well. Every bedroom had ample space and bathrooms, which was nice. The living area did not have bathrooms, so we had to go back to our own rooms to use the bathroom. The kitchen was well appointed and plenty of space. The outside house itself is in bad need of paint and maintenance. Many spiderwebs on the balconies, which we did not use. The outside has paint and wood chipping and balconies did not look safe. The bedrooms had a lot of spiderwebs in corners. We actually bought a wall swifter to get rid of webs. The pool in the back is beautiful and well maintained. My family enjoyed that thoroughly.

Great location for access to town & beach!Comfortable rooms w/ baths for our large family . 3rd floor room was always warmer / hot, even with window A/C on. Large wrap around porch was wonderful as was the pool for grandkids . Kitchen was very well stocked& grill was a plus. Bedrooms could be updated with bedstands & lamps … a good rental for the week .

The Sandcastle is a large, clean, and well-equipped house located a short distance from Dyckman Beach and North Beach in South Haven, Michigan. Plenty of space for everyone, indoors and out! Access to the pool is a bonus! Each bedroom has a bathroom and plenty of towels! The dining area is spacious, and the kitchen appliances are new. The hosts are very responsive and helpful!
